Life is a balance of holding on and letting go…
I suppose this can be interpreted in different ways…
But the way I see it is that the more we learn, the more we evolve and grow, the more we may find ourselves (hopefully) letting go of things that no longer serve us.
Things like self-sabbatoging behaviors & belief systems…relationships that bring us down, or do not allow us to grow and evolve into better humans. On the flip-side, of course, are the people, animals, & things that make our lives wonderful and filled with love, laughter, and joy!
Friends, family, colleagues, etc. who challenge us to be better and stronger…these are the things that we want to hold near and dear to our hearts and cherish!
One thing that I have learned for sure on my path back to good health is that with whom and where you spend your time makes a big difference. Being around positive people and creating positive environments will ultimately set you up for a positive life!
Now, this isn’t always easy… sometimes letting go is very difficult. But – when it comes down to it… this is YOUR life. YOU have to live it. So – hold on to the precious loves in your life and let go of the destructive behaviors and relationships so you can open yourself up to new positive possibilities in your future! Do more of what makes YOU happy!!!
Set clear boundaries with others so that you are in control of your life, and not compromising your authenticity to appease someone else. Sometimes it’s better to love from a distance. That’s ok. ‘No’ is a complete sentence. Learn how to use it, comfortably, and without guilt. Self-care is a divine responsibility. If you are not taking care of yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit – you will become sick, unhappy, and unable to fully engage in life and with others completely.
Create a space in your home (or outdoors!) that is nourishing to your body, mind and soul…a place that you can go and find comfort, peace, harmony, and balance. Maybe it’s a place that you meditate, read, sit quietly, listen to music, dance, practice yoga – whatever it is that makes your spirit sing!
Take time for yourself daily to meditate or sit quietly and either start or end (or both!) your day with gratitude, purpose, intention, clarity, peace and harmony in body and mind.
Nourish your body with whole unprocessed REAL FOODS. Drink WATER. Lots of it. It’s that simple. Eat real food and drink real water. BE REAL.
Slow down. Be present. Live in the moment – it’s the only one you’re guaranteed. Learn. Grow. Evolve. Use your voice. Shed your old skin. Start fresh. Each day is a new beginning. Trust yourself. Let go….dance…fly…
